The modern paradigm of the chronic gastritis, associated with bile reflux

Abstract

The authors considered the modern concepts of the mechanisms of formation and progression of chronic gastritis associated with bile reflux. The main factors responsible for the onset of duodenogastric reflux have been elucidated. A particular attention is paid to the problem of reflux gastritis, as a trigger for the formation of precancerous changes in the gastric epithelium, and the role of H. pylori infection in this form of chronic gastritis. The authors presented the results of own study of the state of the gastric mucosa under various morphological forms of chronic gastritis associated with bile reflux. Modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of reflux-gastritis have been analyzed.
