THE NOVEL „CUNNING PETER” („ХИТЪР ПЕТЪР”) BY GEORGI MARKOVSKI AND BULGARIAN MAGIC REALISM

Abstract
The article examines the manifestations of the Bulgarian magical realism in the middle of XX century, projected onto one of the famous Bulgarian novels of this period – „Cunning Peter” („Хитър Петър”) by Georgi Markovski. There are some references to the relationship between the national narrative of the Ottoman slavery in the Bulgarian literature and the magical realism of Georgi Markovski through which the author interprets the nationalism.
