The ontological characteristics of argumentation in modern German discourse

Abstract
The article focuses on revealing the ontological features of argumentation in contemporary German discourse. The author comes to the conclusion, that according to the cognitive-discursive approach, the availability of an addresser and an addressee; a purpose of convincing an addressee of a certain statement being correct or appropriate; essential methods (audial and visual constituents) and argumentation scenario defines the ontology, provides the necessary minimal circumstances in which argumentation is valid and permits it’s research in various fields of discourse.
