THE OPENING OF THE SOUTH FRONT IN JUNE 1941: HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE QUESTION

Abstract
This article analyzes the historiography of the opening of the South front in June 1941. The existence of plans for opening the South front was made public a day before the start of the War, was made public already during the Soviet period, as well as the existence of other fronts. However, neither in Soviet period, nor after the collapse of Soviet Union, this fact did not stimulate deeper analysis.
