THE PHENOMENON OF THE «LIVING» IN THE CONTEXT OF CONTEMPORARY ORTHODOX DISCOURSE

Abstract
The beginning of the XXI century gives rise to a new crisis phenomenon in cognition. The newest interdiscipli-nary studies of both the natural-scientific and socio-humanitarian directions make it necessary to evaluate the "living" one in a new way, treating it as a complex, system-organized phenomenon in which a synthetic philosophical general-ization of the living image is coded as an integrative phenomenon of biologically active systems and the socio-cultural world of man. Scientific experience shows that the realization of the fragmented nature of knowledge about life only strengthens the creative intentions of a person, the consequence of which is the formation of a complex cog-nitive situation, all the more insistently requires research into its multidimensionality and various forms of manifesta-tion. Today there is a significant growth in the role of religion, and in the context of Christian civilization – the transi-tion to a «new» Christianity, where a particular place is occupied by modern Orthodox discourse. It was precisely by Orthodoxy that the rhythm and vector of the development of Russian culture was set for centuries. Therefore, the ac-tual scientific problem for today is the analysis of the phenomenon of «living» in the context of contemporary Ortho-dox discourse. The generalization and scientific interpretation of the ideas of contemporary Eastern Christian thinkers in the context of the analysis of the phenomenon of «iving» is the goal of this study. It reveals various approaches in Orthodox theological thought, apologetizing arguments in defense of the religious model of the emergence of the liv-ing. As a conclusion, the authors note that today the Orthodox theological discourse increasingly tracks the shift in emphasis in the problem of comprehension of the living: from ontological and epistemological to axiological and moral. Christianity is focused on personal salvation, but in order to achieve this, a person must follow certain rules and regulations that make up the essence of Christian Orthodox ethics.
