The Place of the Justice of the Peace in the State Mechanism of Ukraine

Abstract
The views of Ukrainian scientists of different branches of law regarding potential place of the courts of the peace and of the judge of the peace within the state machinery are analyzed. Based on a critical analysis of the positive and negative aspects of each approach, author argues that the governmental approach is best matched to the needs of the domestic judicial system, the historical and foreign experience of functioning of the justice of the peace.
