THE POSSIBILITY OF THE INTENSIFICATION OF THE HEAT TRANSFER IN FRICTION UNITS OF BAND-BLOCK BRAKES OF THE DRAW-WORKS

Abstract
The limiting the heating elements of friction units of the band-block brakes of the draw-works is one of the most significant tasks of the parametric synthesis and design of friction pairs. The intensification of the heat transfer in friction units of the band-block brakes of the draw-works achieved by the performance of the pulley, composed of different materials and with different design parameters of brake discs. The layers of pulley rim are insulated between themselves to the inner vertical line of the left and right ledge. We’ve evaluated the most energy-loading areas of the combined brake pulley and illustrated thermal currents in it and showed the stress-strain state of the working surface of its rim. There were the following questions: the design features of the composite brake pulley with zones of bimetals and it work; thermal management in the frictional interaction of pairs of friction brakes and heat balance; heat transfer processes in a combined pulley rim and the stress-strain state.
