THE PROBLEM OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN GERMAN SPEAKING COUNTRIES: THEORETICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article deals with the views of Ukrainian and foreign scientists concerning professional training of primary school teachers in German-speaking countries. Various aspects of future teachers’ training in each country are revealed, particularly special attention is paid to the possibility of teacher’s development on in-service training courses. The aim of the article is to analyze the main scholars’ ideas concerning primary school teachers’ training in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and their influence on the reformation of higher pedagogical education system of the investigated country. Competence approach is outlined as one of the basic in professional primary school teachers’ training, European constituent is included in theoretical training of future teachers of the given countries. The descriptive method and the analysis of the core scientists’ ideas are used in the article. The problem of primary school teachers’ professional training is actual as there are obvious approaches to the improvement of theoretical and practical parts of such a training. Two parts of the training (theoretical and practical) are interrelated from each other and are the constituents of one whole system of primary school teachers’ training. The analysis shows that it is important to take into consideration not only theoretical aspect, but also the development of students’ ideas, the need to realize their creativity, the ability to analyze their work and improve during the whole life. The value of the investigation lies in the possible use of the experience of such specialists’ training in Ukraine, particularly concerning foreign language primary school teachers’ training.
