THE REDUCING OF ENERGYLOADING OF FRICTION UNITS OF BAND-BLOCK BRAKES OF DRAW-WORKS
Journal Title: Проблеми тертя та зношування - Year 2016, Vol 72, Issue
Abstract
To increase the heat transfer coefficient from metallic and non-metallic elements of the friction of band-block brakes we can use a developed heat exchange surface. However, the natural cooling of the friction pairs of band-block brakes of draw-works is not able to provide the temperature regime below the allowable temperature for friction pads materials during the descent of the drill string in the well. So we have to use additional devices under the work surface of frictional interaction. We’ve raised the question of forced cooling of the working surface of the rim of the pulley of band-block brakes by using "heat pipes". The features elements of friction components and methods for reducing their energyloading have been considered. We’ve described the work and the effect of "heat pipes" and its consequence in the friction units of braking devices. We’ve shown and described two designs of band-block brake device and system of forced cooling of the working surface of the rim of the pulley. Objective of this article is development of cameras under working surface of rim of pulley working on the effect of "heat pipes" to reduce energyloading of friction pairs of band-block brakes.
