The Relationship between Forgiveness and Attribution Style in Addiction-Prone and Non-Prone People Individuals

Abstract
This study attempts to examine the relation of forgiveness, and attribution style in addiction prone and non-prone individuals. Population is all undergraduate students of Azad university of Zahedan over 2013-2014. Sample is 300 people that selected based on Multi-stage cluster sampling. This study used Seligman Attribution Style Questionnaire, addiction acknowledgement scale (Weed et al) and Heartland Forgiveness Scale. Findings investigated that there is a significant difference between forgiveness scores of addiction-prone People and non-prone people. There is a significant indirect relationship between the forgiveness and addition potential. Also forgiveness is not a good predictor for attribution styles but it can predict addiction potential. Moreover the type attribution styles is not different between prone to addiction People and non-prone.
