The relationship of theory and practice in teaching mathematics.

Abstract

The relationship between theory and practice is one of the most fundamental in studying of any subject. The article re-gards the relationship between mathematical disciplines. Systematic presentation of mathemati-cal disciplines in the school allows pupils to understand the structure and logic of mathematics, to notice the main leading ideas, discover the inner connection between elements of the subject. Implementation of the principle of systematic and consistency educates pupils’ logical thinking and teaches them to creative work. Showing connection between a mathematical disciplines and the application of one of them in studying other attaches great importance each discipline and makes pupils a more profound interest in mathematics. The connection between mathematical disciplines makes it possible to form additional and more vivid associative connections, making students' knowledge more concrete. All this together will help to better assimilate the program material for each mathematical discipline, make knowledge more effective, conscious, deep and lasting, will create prerequisites for further study of mathematics and solving practical problems.
