The repressive policy of the authorities regarding the Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists in the USSR for 60-80s of the ХХ century

Abstract

The article analyzes the politics of Communist party and Soviet authorities to believe the Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians- Baptists in the post-war period. In particular, given a list of all forms of violations of the rights and interests of believers of the Soviet state, called the types of banned religious organizations. Traced several waves of repression against believers Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists by the authorities during the second half of the twentieth century, these persecutions provides statistics and more. Most opposition-minded believers persecuted by: illegal publication and distribution of religious literature, various statements and leaflets, the religious education of children, refusing to join the trade unions and the Soviet Army, links with the Diaspora and foreign religious organizations, worship in public places and the homes of the faithful, charity, religious leaders clandestine activities of opposition nd others. The author submits facts cruel and illegal, even under Soviet legislation, waste faithful Protestant communities as examples of repression by the state against its own citizens. The persecution and harassment of opposition only strengthened them and led to new sacrifice.
