THE ROLE OF A COMPUTER NETWORK IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
Many primary health care institutions don’t have adequate infrastructure network, which prevents the use of modern IT solutions. The process of IT solutions implementing must therefore be preceded by the construction of a suitable network infrastructure. The article presents a proposal to improve the functioning of the primary health care units through the construction of a computer network interacting with a PC application to manage the combined database of doctors, patients and recorded medical events. The use of the application in primary care unit is to enable the performance of electronic medical records, and improve the management of the institution.<br/><br/>
