The Role of Hamid Karzai Government in Promoting The Political Culture of the Women of Afghanistan

Abstract
Nearly half of the population are women , however, women in underdeveloped countries do not enjoy the basic rights. Social, cultural and religious issues in these countries has a obstacle role to the political, cultural and socially development of women. Afghanistan with long history and traditional society is not apart from this matter. Afghan women have been oppressed throughout history in Afghanistan and this situation has intensified in the contemporary era, even more with regimes such as the Taliban. In this study, the author tried to explain the status of women in Afghanistan. Therefore, using library resources analysize women's issues in Afghanistan. The results showed that women's legal status was promoted with the measures that the government of Hamid Karzai provided for women to enter social, economic and culture fields. Although the defects are observe, but this process in the next governments will lead to women’s political improvement.
