THE ROLE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES AT THE MODERN STAGE OF INFORMATIZATION OF EDUCATION

Abstract
Theoretical questions of the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) at the present stage of informatization of education are investigated. The possible directions of using ICT in the learning process are defined. ICTs are one of the learning tools that contribute to the realization of the pedagogical idea. The use of ICTs in the educational process are effective only if it is appropriate and justified when it meets the specific needs of the education system. ICT is a new dimension in the learning areas, a necessary teacher’s assistant, a tool for achieving pedagogical goals, but not a panacea from everything traditional.
