“THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN SAFEGUARDING HUMAN RIGHTS AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY”
Journal Title: Ancient Land - Year 2024, Vol 6, Issue 3
Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this study is to discuss whether it is possible to defend human rights as universal rights, framed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent international agreements, and to criticize cultural relativism from the perspective of philosophy and anthropology and international relations. Human rights can be defined as meta-principles used to define the ethical and legal rules that governments must follow in exercising their powers. Almost all power relations act on the basis of certain principles. However, the relationship between authority and those subject to authority has varied from culture to culture and over time. Religions such as Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, economic and political systems such as feudalism, capitalism and communism have regulated the basic rights of people with different references. Moreover, the definition and implementation of human rights has always been an area of political struggle.
