The Second Law, Gibbs Free Energy, Geometry, and Protein Folding
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN PHYSICS - Year 0, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
The fundamental physical law of protein folding is the second law of thermodynamics. The key to solve proteinfolding problem is to derive an analytic formula of the Gibbs free energy. It has been overdue for too long. Let U be a monomeric globular protein whose M atoms 1 M a are classified into hydrophobicity classes H H , ,H 1H 2.

The Von Neumann and Double Slit Paradoxes Lead to a New Schrodinger Wave Mathematics
John von Neumann states a paradox. Why does measuring something disrupt the smooth Schrödinger wave, causing it to collapse for no mathematical reason? This paradox is embedded in the double slit experiment. When a dot a...
Effect of Gamma Irradiation on Structural, Morphological and Optical Properties of p-quaterphenyl Thin Films
Para-quaterphenyl thin films were deposited onto glass and quartz substrates by thermal evaporation method. p-quaterphenyl thin films wereexposed to gamma radiation of Cobat-60 radioactive source at room temperature with...
Evaluation of Calculation Algorithms for photon Beam dose in Heterogeneous Medium
The success of the implementations of a radiotherapy treatment planning system is determined by the ability of the dose calculation algorithms to reproduce the algorithm input data, and in most cases the agreement was fo...
A Review of Conformal Field Theory in 2D
In this review we study the elementary structure of Conformal Field Theory in which is a recipe for further studies of critical behavior of various systems in statistical mechanics and quantum field theory. We briefly re...
