THE SPECIFIC USAGE OF OLFACTORY NOMINATION IN THE POETRY BY SERGEY ESENIN

Abstract
The paper is devoted to the analysis of the nominations of odor in the poetry by Sergey Esenin. The aim of the work is the identification of the author’s specifics of usage of olfactory nominations (in comparison with poetic works by Ivan Bunin). Typical writer’s methods of representation of smell are identified. The author of paper tries to determine the degree of importance of this group of nominations in the texts by Sergey Esenin and place of scent imagery in his poetic worldview. In the conclusion has been stated that the odorative nominations and the underlying concept of «smell» it play a significant part in the author’s poetic worldview and sometimes become repeated images which bear an additional meaning.
