THE STUDY OF FOREIGN EXPERIENCE REGARDING PUNISHMENTS EXECUTION IN THE PRE-REVOLUTIONARY PERIOD (THE SECOND HALF OF THE XVIIIth – THE BEGINNING OF THE ХХth CENTURY)

Abstract
The author of the article analyzed the studies regarding punishments execution in foreign countries in pre-revolutionary penitentiary science. It has been established that the historical sources of studying positive foreign experience in the field of punishments execution belong to the period of the reign of Catherine II. The elements of positive foreign experience introduction into penitentiary practice of the Russian Empire are carried out.
