The study of nitrogen fugacity on the N-containing binaries

Abstract

The expression for the nitrogen fugacity reveals a high pressure limit that differs from temperature to temperature. An approach for defining the high and the low pressure regions is proposed. By the topologic characteristics of the literature reported nitrogen fugacity-pressure relation and from the view point of mathematics, the approach for determining the dividing point between the high and low pressure ranges is proposed in this paper. The nitrogen fugacity-pressure relation in the high pressure range is developed for the different N-containing system. On the basis of the study above, the influence of the nitrogen on the phase equilibria of Me-N systems is discussed and the corresponding potential phase diagrams were obtained.
