THE STYLE OF MAGICAL REALISM İN THE LEGENDS

Abstract
Magical realism is a type of narration that is greatly seen in a cooperation with the understanding of postmodern art in 20’th century. With this type, the type of folkloric narration has been adapted to our day by being animated. One of the most important features of magical realism texts is that extraordinary elements are showed as ordinary. In magical realism texts ordinary and extraordinary ones place side by side. Extraordinary one is presented as ordinary. In these types of texts, extraordinary elements are showed as ordinary in order that the harmony between the realistic level and magical level is presented in a balance. The characters of magical realism also see the extraordinary elements as ordinary conditions on life. The supernatural elements seen in the texts is not different from ordinary event. Magical realist texts are narrations that are the mixture of magic and reality. In the study, the existence of the style of magical realism narration from folk narrations in the legends is going to be studied.
