The Tactical and Technical Characteristics of Medium Calibre Programmable Ammunition Analysis
Journal Title: Problemy Mechatroniki. Uzbrojenie, lotnictwo, inżynieria bezpieczeństwa - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
The subject of analysis was ammunition produced by: Oerlikon and Bofors (30, 35, 40 and 57 mm calibre). The analysed ammunition represented two groups, differ by construction, which is: type of shell, fuse and the method of programming. The Ammunition of first group was characterised by shrapnel type of shell and time fuse, programming after exiting the barrel. The second group is specified by fragmentation shell with forced fragmentation elements and multifunctional time-proximity fuse, programmed before round is loaded to the chamber. The presented method of analysis and results will allow to do comparison and initial prognosis of programmable ammunition firing system, by efficiency.

Reliability Analysis of Ventube Fan Rotor
Discs of ventube fan rotor were chosen as an object of the study. As a result of an analytical calculation, distribution of radial and circumferential stress and safety factor along rotor’s disc radius was calculated. P...
The Influence of Sub-Projectiles Arrangement on Body Strength of 35 mm Shrapnel Projectile
The subject of the paper is the investigation of shrapnel arrangement influence on projectile housing strength. The finite element method was used to calculate the distributions of stress in the missile body. The four al...
Badania nad modyfikacją składu heterogenicznego paliwa dla dwuzakresowego silnika rakietowego
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki z badań zmodyfikowanych ładunków napędowych dla dwuzakresowego silnika rakietowego. Modyfikacja polegała na optymalizacji składu heterogenicznego paliwa rakietowego na bazie nadchloranu amonu...
Theoretical and Experimental Studies at the Weapon’s Jump of the Automatic Small Arms
This paper presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies at the weapon’s jump of the chosen models of automatic firearms. Results of the theoretical studies were gained by the simulations made with the phy...
Theoretical Analysis of the Impact of Deviations in the Magneto-Rheological Damper Axis from the Runner Axis in the Butt of a Firearm During a Shot
This paper presents a method of modelling the impact of a magneto-rheological (MR) butt-mounted damper on both the weapon and the shooter during the use of a firearm. A modification of the model presented in [1] is sugge...
