The theme of travel in Mark Twain’s works

Abstract
The article covers the role of the theme of travel and the motive of the road as important factors in the formation of the plot. Travel as a genre played a special role in the development of American literature, becoming one of the first examples of American national culture in general. A number of national genre traditions emerged in the process of formation and later they embodied in the works of Mark Twain.
