THE TRAINING IN BULGARIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE IN ІV GRADE – A FACTOR FOR THE FORMATION OF KEY COMPETENCIES FOR PUPILS
Journal Title: Knowledge International Journal - Year 2018, Vol 26, Issue 2
Abstract
The article is devoted to the training of bulgarian language and literature in the initial stage of the primary education as a factor for the formation of key competences for pupils. Primary school is the place where students master not only competencies but also develop intellectually and personally. Bulgarian language and literature education enables learners to open the door and creative talents, as it should not be perceived only as the mastery of a set of knowledge but also as an opportunity for the student to create and study new mysterious worlds in the abundance of exciting artistic works full of miracles, wisdoms and lessons. For students in IV grade it is necessary to read the text to touch the essence of its contents, to understand it and to analyze the behavior of the characters. For this to happen, they should realize that the training in the complex subject matter of Bulgarian language and literature provides them with an opportunity other than the reading and creativity - the differentiation of a number of competencies, not only linguistic, but also communicative and socio-cultural. The ability to write and read is just as important as the ability to freely use words, to have a rich language culture, to compose and edit texts, to discover the signs of cultural diversity in literary works studied, and last but not least - to know how to communicate with others. Language - speech - skills to write, read, understand and communicate with the text and with the members of the relevant readership community to which the student belongs - can thus be represented by the multi-layered structure of the Bulgarian language and literature training, contributing to the formation of knowledge, skills and competencies.
