The Transformation of Students’ Motivation in Study Process

Abstract

In the personalities attitude student acts the main role during the studies process. The studies process purpose implementation and student’s realization by himself at the following working practice depends on his motivation. This topic consists from two pats. In the first part motivation is explained as psychical process in totality and motivation as interaction the requirements and motives. Motivation as psychical process in totality is explained according A. Jasmontas theory. Psychical process is: cognitive, voluntary and emotional. Motivation as interaction the requirements and motives is explained according Maslow theory of requirements. In the second part of topic is characterizing the contents of motive, choosing social work specialty. The motive is characterizing according external and internal reasons and as the deliberate and unconscious, as stable and unstable motive. And estimate requirement of motivational factors, according to the theory of F. Hercberg At the empirical aspect there are revealed the importance of the motives choosing the specialty of the social work. In choosing the specialty respondents followed the deliberate motive. The research on the stability of the motive indicated that almost all students are satisfied about their chosen specialty. In choosing the specialty inner reasons such as desire to get knowledge and an education are very important to all the respondents. Outer reasons, for instance, the popularity of the profession are important for full-time students. A motive – care of others, is important only for the students in correspondence courses. Also by the empiric aspect is explained requirement of the motivational factors. Results which are well backed up by research lead to a requirement of motivational factors are more important for full-time students. The establishing a personal business, the newly created responsibility explained motivational factors.
