The trend of income inequality in Iran

Abstract
In spite of the past, equal distribution of income and obviation of income inequality has been the focus of attention of Iran’s policy makers for three decades of Islamic revolution. So the explanation of income inequality trend using economic index for stating the efficiency of economic policies has been noticed by economics. In this study in addition to using indices like GINI index, augmented entropy and social welfare indices have been used for efficiency of income allocation methods on different income groups and made welfare. Beside previous studies, the applied statistics include personal adjusted expenditures. The results stated the improvement of income distribution in the years after Islamic revolution. Also the results showed that income distribution has not followed a fixed trend.
