The Role of Social Capital on Domestic Production: regional analysis of Iran’s Economy

Abstract
In all dimensions of Iran’s economy there are infrastructural problems in economy of the country. One of the most important of these cases is the issue of production in economy. Problems such as financial supply of production institutions, technology and efficiency of labor, mental load of consumers in providing their needs, competition of domestic producers with their foreign counterparts and so on are structural problems. Also recently sanctions by providing domestic problems and by foreign limitations caused pressures on the economy of the country and domestic production and maybe all these cases causes to invoke the attempts of authorities of Islamic Republic of Iran toward the issue of domestic production and even nominating a year as supporting domestic production, labor and Iranian investment. Supporting domestic production without considering its influential factors is impossible. Of the most important factors that impacts on domestic production is social capital as a simplifying factor in the process of production and creation of wealth and welfare. In this research we are focusing on the role social capital in promoting human development index in regional dimensions during 2002 to 2006. The hypothesis of this research is the positive role of social capital in increasing the level of human development index that using econometrics method of spatial panel data and provincial data we approved this hypothesis.
