Abstract
The article deals with the model of the constructing the “emotive-I” of the identity of the English-language children’s poet. In the process of research it is established that the construction of “emotive-I” covers the following components: cognitive (knowledge, beliefs, motives, ideas, attitudes towards oneself and children), affective (emotional and evaluative attitude towards knowledge and beliefs, to oneself and to children), behavioural (the corresponding reaction that stimulates intentional emotional influence on the object of the children’s poetic discourse, and it is represented in the author’s poetic speech). The research material reveals several types of "emotive-I" of the identity of the English-language children’s poet, such as Kenn Nesbitt. The types of “emotive-I” of the author’s identity include: “dreamer”, “humourist”, “joker”, “prankster”, “warner”, “cardiocentric” and others.
