The typological differentiation of English detective story

Abstract
The article focuses on the typological differentiation of English detective story which is examined in its variety. According to the fundamental characteristics/ features of different types of detective fiction different approaches/ criteria of their classification have been worked out. Among them: thematic, functional, stylistic, structural.
