THE UKRAINIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE BRITISH FOREIGN POLICY (1990–2010)

Abstract
The paper deals with the analysis of the Ukrainian historiography of the British foreign policy in the period of 1990–2010. Taking into the account the context of the past political events, the author analyzes the main topics that attracted attention of the Ukrainian researchers: British European politics, «Special relationship» between the United Kingdom and the USA, Ukrainian-British relations. Some issues earlier researched by Ukrainian historiography during the period of independence, particularly those related to the European integration processes, have lost their relevance after the referendum on Brexit (2016) and further negotiations on the withdrawal of Great Britain from the EU. In this regard, the research of the foreign policy decision-making, identifying motivations and influence of democratic institutions such as political parties and nongovernmental organizations seems urgent.
