THE UKRAINIAN TERRITORIES AND BOGDAN KHMELNYTSKY'S IDENTITY IN INTERPRETATION OF THE POLISH RESEACHERS the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI centuries

Abstract
Acquisition of independence of Ukraine and the revival of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (third) maid active interest of the Ukrainian and Polish historians in general past. In a certain measure the anniversaries connected with the beginning of the liberating war under Bogdan Khmelnytsky agreement made active this research interest. Except the source study and generalizing works scientists considered also a problem historiography. Not only researches of pro-fessional historians, but amateur works which had a certain influence on perception of events of the remote past hare got to the field of our sight. Have to note that the Polish historical assessment of the Ukrainian Cossacks, generally, and Bogdan Khmelnytsky, separately, has passed a difficult way. If earlier liberating war and its leader ware perceived by the Polish historians in dark tones, then recently we have an assessment more deeply thought. It especially necessary to allocate Ya. Kochmarik's work devoted to the identity of Bogdan Khmelnytsky. Not all statements of the author are perceived positively by domestic researchers, but this monograph is a milestone event not only for the Polish, but also for the Ukrainian historical science
