The usefulness of validation support reagent in a routine test
Journal Title: Journal of Analytical Bio-Science - Year 2013, Vol 36, Issue 4
Abstract
In a clinical test, validation is indispensable in order to guarantee the reliability of measurement values and the most fundamental point to be checked. A "Guideline for the validation of quantitative measurement methods" was published by the Committee on Quality Management Japan Society of Clinical Chemistry in April, 2011. After this, the validation data for every principle were taken according to the guideline, and these data, 21 items (22 products), were published in booklet for on as the "Validation Result Report." Moreover, these reagents with which validation was performed were named ''Validation-Support Reagents'' in order to clarify its values. The reliability assurance of measurement values has been realized with these reagents.

Applied studies of nutritional roles of L-carnitine in non-clinical situations: Evolution in animal nutrition
The effects of L-carnitine supplementation on sperm motility, lactation, and the growth of young animals have been observed in various situations and types of domestic animals. L-carnitine supplementation to the feed of...
Mild acid hydrolysis of sphingolipids yields lysosphingolipids: a matrix-assisted laser desorption and ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry study
The mechanisms underlying the generation of lysosphingolipids remain unclear. The present study investigated whether sphingolipids can be de-N-acylated under relatively mild acidic conditions to produce lysosphingolipids...
Effects of the overdosage of mineral enriched yeast and gluconate as zinc and copper source on the Zn, Cu and Fe content in rat
Mineral enriched yeast or gluconate was used as zinc and copper source in test diets for rat. The quantity of zinc and copper addition assumed a reasonable standard (Zn: 30μg, Cu: 6μg/g diet) or high level (Zn: 100μg, Cu...
Monomeric sarcosine oxidase acts on both L- and D-substrates
The stereoselectivity of monomeric sarcosine oxidase (mSox), an enzyme used for creatinine determination, was assayed by using N-methylalanine and proline. As a result, mSox reacted to both L- and D-substrates, although...
Evaluation of HbA1c, CRP and CBC measurement with Celltac Chemi and Celltac α
With advances in automation technology, centralized testing has recently been performed in central clinical laboratories and laboratory test centers. On the other hand, many rapid testing devices have also been introduce...
