THE WORKS OF AGUSTIN BARRIOS IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN GUITAR ART

Abstract
The creative influence of the outstanding Paraguayan virtuoso guitarist and composer for the guitar Agustin Barrios Mangore on contemporary guitar works and performing in the context of studying the work of Latin American composers for the guitar as part of Latin American music, the necessity of which is conditioned by the objective need to expand knowl- edge of the world musical culture is analyzed in article. In the period of comprehension of the national heritage, as system phenomenon and when the peoples of the world realize their cultural commonality the comparative study of the national traditions of art that enrich global art acquires special significance. The study of the influence of ethnic traditions on the development of classical art and the influence of classical art both on the overall development of mankind and on the forma- tion of new traditions in art is of great relevance. The relevance of the article is due to the fact that the contribution of the Latin American music to world music has not yet been adequately assessed. A holistic and historically traceable conception of the works of the Latin American composers for the guitar in Ukrainian-language scientific works is not available today, although their work has already confidently won favor with both guitarists and listeners. Information about the works of the Latin American composers, including the works for the guitar, are introduced into the scientific circulation in most of the Russian-speaking, English-speaking and Hispanic sources for the first time. The article highlights the role of one of the brightest representatives of Latin American composers for the guitar A. Barrios in popularizing the guitar as a concert instrument, an analysis of the method and performing style, the creativity of the guitarist-composer and his role in modern guitar art for uncovering and expanding the possibilities of the guitar. The article highlights the role of one of the most prominent representatives of Latin American composers for guitar (A. Barrios) in the popularization of guitar as a concert instrument, the method and performing style, creativity of the guitarist-compositor and his role in modern guitar art for the disclosure and expansion of guitar capabilities are analyzed. His revolutionary innovations to the technique of the game, the influence of his creativity on the formation of a modern guitar performance repertoire are also analyzed. The value of the composer’s works to improve the skills of professional guitarists is shown, the examples of contemporary performance of the works of Agustin Barrios are given. The research of creativity of A. Barrios is based on the analysis of the electronic portal V. and S. Tavrovsky “Guitarists and composers” and on the scientific works of U. Machneva and V. Rodionov.
