Abstract

States promote in different proportions and types investment incentives in regions and sectors to achieve the various socio-economic objective. The main purpose of these incentives is to develop the region or sector and to avoid the migration that social unrest is causing. Social, economic and cultural structure of region are intended to be strengthened by public investment and investment incentives and thus it is aimed prevention the migration. Instudy that TR33 region (Manisa, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar ve Uşak) was examined was dwelled on how it affects migration in the region of public investment, and investment incentives. The analysis of the tables that was constituted by population structure, urban-rural ratio, sectoral structure, employment, public investment, investment incentives and migration has made a deduction that public investment and investment incentives have had a very limited effect to eliminate the causes of migration and immigration orientation. Continouous increase in public investment and investment incentives by years, although not permanent, have not contributed to employment and have not prevented migration in region.
