THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE ESTIMATION OF ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF AGRICULTURAL LAND USE

Abstract
Introduction. The study of the economic efficiency of agricultural land use is crucial in the theory and practice of agricultural activity. Particular attention should be paid to the development of a comprehensive system for assessing the efficiency of landresource potential use in the agrarian sector in order to make effective management decisions regarding rational and balanced agricultural land use. Methods. Research conducted by use of the dialectical method of knowledge of the economic laws and systematic approach to the study of economic phenomena and processes, monographic, induction and deduction – to form a system of indicators to measure economic efficiency of agricultural land use and their selection criteria for grouping; abstract and logical method – in the implementation of theoretical generalizations and formulation of conclusions. Results. Possibilities of application of modern methodological approaches to the estimation of efficiency of use of landresource potential in agrarian production are investigated. The indicators in the system of assessing the economic efficiency of agricultural land use by selection criteria are systematized by the author. The stages of estimation of economic efficiency of use of land-resource potential with the help of integral indicator are offered. Discussion. The formation and evaluation of integrated indicators is important for the adoption of effective economic decisions in the field of agricultural land use. Attention should be paid to the combination of mechanisms for assessing economic effects with the ecological and social efficiency of the use of land-resource potential in the field of agricultural production in further researches.
