Abstract
Problems, related to the psychological aspects and peculiarities of specialists’ professional self-realization at the State Employment Service of Ukraine (SESU), are practically absent in national and foreign literature and have not been yet the subject of special scientific research. Taking into account the changes in the status and content of the professional work of the new SESU specialists – career advisers and underdevelopment of this problem, a model of such specialists’ self-realization should be substantiated theoretically for organization, in the future, of the corresponding empirical research. In accordance with the stated purpose, the article defines the peculiarities of the professional work of the SESU specialists (career advisers), specifies the general model of an individual’s professional self-realization and develops the model of SESU specialists’ professional self-realization. The model consists of three main components: resources, processes and results. The main resources are the SESU specialists’ personal and professional resources as well as the organizational resources of the State Employment Service of Ukraine and possible social resources. The processes of SESU specialists’ professional self-realization include, according to our model, the following stages: vocational determination, professional formation and achievement (in some cases) of professional "acme". The self-realization results can be described as high personal and professional maturity of the SESU specialists, organizational achievements of the SESU departments– increased work efficiency, high professionalism of the Service personnel, socially useful outcomes. There are the following most significant features of the career advisers’ professional work: 1) task fulfilment in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation and job descriptions; 2) fulfilled professional duties in order to ensure SESU effectiveness; 3) client orientation; 4) quick return of the unemployed to work; 5) the desire to establish partnerships with each client, so clients have a positive experience of cooperation with the SESU; 6) intense professional communications; 7) innovations and dynamism; 8) responsibility toward clients, colleagues, direct managers and society. The prospect of further research is empirical testing of the developed model, clarification of the important determinants of specialists’ self-realization to create possible programs of the SESU personnel’s psychological support.
