THEORETICAL BASIS FOR EDUCATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN BY MEANS OF LOCAL HISTORY MATERIAL

Abstract

Having analyzed the research and methodological literature, the role of local history material in raising environmental awareness among children was researched. It is proved that environmental education is an integral part of the comprehensive and harmonious development of an individual. Now, it is important to achieve that the feeling of personal responsibility for all flesh living on the Earth, care for conservation and systematic use have become a character feature of each person. Researchers have proven that most children assimilate any beliefs from childhood, since before they are able to comprehend received information critically. The issue of environmental education is a topical at the present stage as the problem of human relations and society remains an acute one. Number of researchers directly connects its solution with environmental education noted that it will remain the same until every person has a conscious sense of responsibility for the preservation of nature
