THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES OF PHATIC DISCOURSE ANALYSIS IN MODERN LINGUISTICS

Abstract
The article deals with modern approaches to investigation of phatic discourse in linguistics. Special attention is paid to the analysis of tasks and functions of phatic discourse. The types of the communicative contact as a combination of physical, acoustic and social-etiquette links that ensure the successful transmission and reception of messages are considered. The parameters of phatic communicative situations are developed. The practical significance of phatic communication in modern life is revealed.
