Thermodynamic Parameters of Lead Sulfide Crystals in the Cubic Phase
Journal Title: Фізика і хімія твердого тіла - Year 2015, Vol 16, Issue 4
Abstract
Geometric and thermodynamic parameters of cubic PbS crystals were obtained using the computer calculations of the thermodynamic parameters within density functional theory method DFT. Cluster models for the calculation were based on the analysis of the crystal and electronic structure. Temperature dependence of energy ΔE and ΔH enthalpy, Gibbs free energy ΔG, heat capacity at constant pressure CP and volume CV, entropy ΔS were determined on the basis of ab initio calculations of the crystal structure of molecular clusters. Analytical expressions of temperature dependences of thermodynamic parameters which were approximated with quantum-chemical calculation points using mathematical package Maple 14 were presented. Experimental results compared with theoretically calculated data.

The Influence of the Synthesis Temperature on Phase Composition and Structure of Tenary Compounds Obtained from the Powder Mixture of the TiH2-Al-C System
This paper presents results of an investigation of the features of phase and structure formation of a ternary compound during thermal sintering use of compacted TiH2-Al-C powder blends. The thermal sintering was carried...
Analysis of Defect Subsystem ZnSe, Doped with Transition Metals (Co, Ni)
The crystal-quasichemical formulae of doping at the Crystals n-ZnSе:Cо(Ni) аnd p-ZnSе:Cо(Ni) are suggested. The dependence on point defects concentration, on free chargecarrier concentration and Hall concentration of the...
Relationship Between Contact Angle and Sliding Angle of Drop on Inclined Surface
The Frenkel’s task for relationship of equilibrium contact angle and sliding angle of drops on inclined surfaces has been considered. A linear dependency of inverse sinus of sliding angle and mass of the drop in power 2/...
