Thuja plicata Donn ех D. Don та її культивари у Правобережному Лісостепу України [Thuja plicata Donn ex D. Don and its cultivars in the conditions of right-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine]

Abstract
Тhe article presents the results of studies of bio-ecological and environmental characteristics, decorative characteristics and methods of reproduction of the species and cultivars Th. plicata in the conditions of right Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. The systematic and phylogenetic relationships, natural and cultural distribution of the Th. plicata. Studied the start and end dates of the main phases of Th. plicata growth and development analyzed. According to the observations of the of generative organs Th. plicata formation begins in the third decade of March – first decade of April. Phase of pollination occurs in the I–II decade of April. Duration of flowering Th. plicata is from 8 to 11 days at an average temperature of 10 oC. The duration of the dusting – 6-7 days. It is worth noting that the flowering of megastomias starts at 1-3 days before you start dusting microstrobili, which contributes to their successful pollination. Ripening of cones Th. plicata in the region lasts through September. The vegetation period Th. plicata is 151±3 days. This cycle of development is consistent with the length of the growing season in the study area. During this time, Th. plicata have time to fully prepare for the transition to a state of rest. On the basis of several studies on the stability of Th. plicata to adverse environmental factors found that in the region the species is drought-resistant and has a high frost resistance. In studies of sexual reproduction found that seeds Th. plicata must be repaired to a depth of not more than 0.5, see the First shoots appeared 14 days after sowing. Dirt germination of seeds amounted to 32-43 %. According to the studies the best way to prepare seeds Th. рlicata for sowing in the open ground turned out to be a possession in the snow for 30 days. As a result of the studies conducted on vegetative reproduction of Th. plicata, note that the capacity for rooting of cuttings Th. plicata is very different depending on the type of grafts and growth factors. The percentage of rooting of woody stem cuttings Th. plicata was much higher than semilignified (summer). The highest percentage of rooting cuttings semilignified recorded in the variants with the use as a stimulator of the process of rhisogenesis solution "Zircon" at a concentration of 0.1 ml., the lowest solution "Charkor" at a concentration of 0.5 and 1.0 ml. The studies of the success of the introduction of Th. plicata found that all the investigated plants in botanical gardens and dendrological parks of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine belong to the first group of prospects that testifies to their successful adaptation. Acclimatization is the number of 95 points, which suggests that the species Th. plicata fully acclimatized to the soil-climatic conditions of the study region.
