Abstract
SUMMARY: Transformational learning theory is one of the most recent members of learning theories It is one. In this article, what is transformative learning, meaning structures, critical reflection, perspective transformation, center of experience and the philosophical traditions that are influenced by it. Synthesis of learning theories that were put forward before themselves attracts attention of educational scientists. Transformational learning takes place in 10 steps and the individual to gain a better perception of their own assumptions, experiences, it is a tense process that questions its feelings, beliefs. In this process the instructor plays a role in facilitating the transformation of the perspective of the individual. Critical reflection and communication skills are essential foundations of theory. Transformational learning theory is an adult learning theory and it is the responsibility of adults to learn their own learning responsibilities they are expected to take. The individual must ask for the transformation of his / her point of view. Authoritarian perspective conversion is not possible. Transformational learning theory is autonomous aims to create thinking individuals. Medicine is not only applied knowledge, but also attitude and values are very important. Education to make use of the transformational learning theory while preparing the program, will provide significant benefits to medical educators in the training of physicians with value.
