TO THE HISTORY OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MILITARY HISTORY OF UKRAINE: CLASSIFICATION OF THE SOURCE BASE

Abstract
The article investigates various approaches of scientists to the explain of the term “historical source”. These definitions allowed the author to rethink the completeness of the existing classification of sources of information on the activities of the National museum of military history of Ukraine (Museum) from 1995 to 2013. The analysis and evaluation of the completeness and systemicity of the information presented in the identified sources have been made. This contributed to fixing certain inaccuracies and author’s interpretation. The proposed introduction to the scientific circulation of the aggregate of the sources according to the improved classification, on the example of the formation and development of Museum. It is substantiated that the presented classification groups will enable scientists and museum staff to do systems evaluate arrays of information, prevent subjective entropy, and qualitatively deepen the knowledge of history.
