Abstract
As every field, every profession, every discipline, as well as the library discipline and profession has its own prominent who contributed to the development of the profession. Professor Dr. Necmeddin Sefercioğlu was a doyen of Turkish Librarianship, a precious scientist, practitioner, and one of the executives of non-governmental organizations. On April 3, 2019, he has the mercy of right, May God have mercy on his soul and may his place be paradise. He was one of the leading teachers among the ones who contributed to his environment with his personality, equipment and experiences, guided, taught methods, personally influenced me and touched my life. Here, I wanted to share my memories about him with his personal, academic and professional dimensions, what I have witnessed, lived and learned, to commemorate him on this occasion and to pay my debt to some extent.
