TO THE PROBLEM OF CORRELATION OF CATEGORIES „CONSTITUTIONALISM” AND „THE CONSTITUTIONAL PROCESS”

Abstract
Attainment of the constitutional process in our days is one of the most urgent tasks in legal science. Its correlation with the notion of “constitutionalism” is a poorly understood problem. This article attempts to analyze the essence of the con- stitutional process and constitutionalism on the basis of a detailed assay of the positions of Ukrainian and foreign jurists. It is concluded that constitutionalism is the logical stage in the development of the legal paradigm in the Ukraine, and the constitutional process is an ongoing phase of evolution of the political and legal system in Ukraine.
