Tourism and sustainable development – an encouraging perspective for the republic of moldova

Abstract
Purpose. The article is devoted to the research of the tourism and sustainable development in the contest of encouraging perspective for the repub lic of Moldova. Methodology of research. The objectives of the article implemented by using the following general and specific research methods: analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, dialectical approach. Findings. It is being established that the development of nature-based tourism activities within the local communities and protected areas can generate numerous socio-economical benefits and positive impacts on the environmnment. Directions of increasing efficiency the tourism activities are developed. Practical value. The article sub stantiates that an integrative approach towards sustainability is the only right way to its achievement and Repub lic of Moldova would be considered as an equal memb er of the European society only when all necessary prerequisites will be accomplished.
