The article is devoted to a short overview of the history of the formation of the archaeological collection kept in the scientific funds National historical and archaeological reserve «Olbia» of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The main reasons that led to the relatively late establishment of fund storage at the site by the principles of forming Repository general principles of storage archaeological collections. The author also depicts the current state fund storage outlined the urgent problems of preservation and study of archaeological collections from the excavations of Olbia and settlement of choirs which it is stored. An important part of the staff National historical and archaeological reserve Science Foundation is to create a modern collection descriptions ordering numerous archaeological material by year and by type ceramics. This work will be continued systematically already in the planning of scientific tasks of the newly created Department of Archaeology of the Lower Bug region in National historical and archaeological reserve «Olbia».
