Abstract
Theoretical issues in training of professionals in financial, economic and cooperative specialty in Western Ukraine in the second half of XIX – the beginning of XX century were researched. The development of education in Western Ukraine was carried out by cultural and educational societies. The importance of economic education for the nation as well as need to gain necessary knowledge for efficient economic activity of the population was analyzed.
