Transactional analysis in education or educational transactional analysis? – an attempt to sort out meanings

Journal Title: Edukacyjna Analiza Transakcyjna - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue

Abstract

The author discusses the specificity and development of educational Transactional Analysis as a special field of applications. She also suggests distinguishing between the two terms functioning in the Polish language: “Transactional Analysis in education” and “educational Transactional Analysis”. The first notion, in her opinion, is wider, as it comprises: research on education, possibilities of interpreting educational reality as well as teaching and educating practice in Transactional Analysis perspective. The notion of “educational Transactional Analysis”, however, is reserved for practical activities of the teacher, basing on TA theory, but also considering specificity of educational work.
