TRANSFORMATION OF THE ROLE OF CENTRAL BANKS IN MONETARY SYSTEMS

Abstract
The work outlines the prospects for the introduction of a new monetary system model to ensure the stability of the financial sys-tem and economic growth. Directions of the transformation of the functions and role of the NBU in the monetary system of Ukraine under the conditions of dynamic monetary and credit systems are explored. Based on analysis of the monetary and credit systems of developed countries, the role and significance of the Central Bank in the context of the its functions is investigated. The prospects of using foreign experience for transforming the role of the NBU in the domestic monetary system are outlined.
