Treatment of iatrogenic complications in the prosthetic rehabilitation: A case report

Journal Title: Prosthodontics - Year 2011, Vol 61, Issue 2

Abstract

In this paper the complications caused by prosthodontic mistreatment were discussed, taking as an example the female patient who had two removable dentures made six months earlier. The need for the pre-prosthetic preparation of the oral cavity was discussed. It was also highlighted that the uncompensated occlusal plane and too high central occlusion make the tissues outside the prosthetic area. The proper prosthetic rehabilitation procedures in the discussed case were presented.
